Narrashot remembers what the production has established. Lock a character's identity and every later shot inherits it. Damage a car in Scene 24 and it stays damaged. Change a coat in Scene 30 and the change carries forward until something else changes it.

A world outlives the film.
A World holds characters, locations, history, rules, technologies, factions, props and visual identity. Produce a short in it, then a feature, then a series — the cast and the continuity come with you.
